
The Image of Women in Primary School Curriculum and Textbooks
(1923-2023)
In our project, we carry out our work in accordance with the research calendar.
The textbooks to be used in the research were determined as a result of the examinations carried out in Ankara National Library, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Digital Library, Izmir National Library, MEB Ferit Ragıp Tuncor Library and TTKB Library, and all books to be analyzed were scanned and archived both thematically and chronologically in the cloud environment by the project assistants.
In the second stage, the visuals and texts were examined by our researchers and project assistants, the coding required for analysis was determined, and content analysis began to be carried out. Besides, regular meetings were held and project trainings were held regarding the project process. The training carried out is as follows:

The aim of this research is to examine the image of women in primary school curriculum (SC) and the textbooks, the change in the process, the social, political, economic, and cultural reasons of the factors affecting this change in 100 years’ time in Turkey.

Projemizde 1923-2023 arası yüzyıllık dönemde ilkokullarda okutulan beş dersin (fen bilimleri, hayat bilgisi, matematik, sosyal bilgiler ve Türkçe) öğretim programları ve ders kitaplarında kadın imgesi ve süreçte geçirdiği değişimler, değişime etki eden faktörler, adı geçen materyallerde kadın imgesi hususundaki tutarlılıklar incelenmektedir.
